Processing Solution
The Xplore Microtube Line is a laboratory-scale extrusion system for the rapid development and screening of precision polymer microtubes, using only minimal quantities of material per test.
Fully integrated with Xplore Micro-Compounders, it lets researchers formulate new polymer compounds and convert them directly into continuous microtubes, ready for dimensional and performance evaluation.
- One integrated workflow: material formulation and microtube extrusion in a single system, with no material transfer between steps.
- Minimal material use: screen new formulations from small material quantities, cutting development time and cost.
- A clear path to scale-up: validate microtube dimensions and performance before committing to pilot or industrial production.
Capabilities
- Continuous Production: Produce polymer microtubes for R&D and process development.
- Material Compatibility: Process polyolefins, TPU, Pebax, PEEK, PPS, PEI, PA, PC, PLA, and other engineering polymers.
- Formulation Evaluation: Assess new formulations, additives, fillers, and composites.
- Dimensional Optimization: Control & adjust tube dimensions.

Key Features
- Diameter Monitoring: Inline laser measurement for outer diameter of microtube.
- Adjustable Processing: Tunable parameters for adjusting tube dimensions.
- Controlled Winding: Adjustable torque-controlled winding.
- Flexible Cooling: Air cooling with optional water cooling.
- Process Monitoring: Real-time process visualization and data monitoring.
